As we move into the next phase of our campaign, we have much to be proud of. We overwhelmingly secured the Republican nomination for Congress by more than 10,000 votes.  This speaks volumes about your support of this campaign and our message of lower taxes, less government control in our lives and common sense solutions to bring jobs and opportunities back to Louisville.  We will stay the course and continue to demonstrate the resounding differences between our plan for this community and that of my liberal opponent.

Speaking of the “Prince of Prospect”, we are rapidly closing the gap in the polls, and the People are stepping up for a chance to fire one of the most liberal members of Congress, a yes-man for the Obama/Pelosi agenda.

Currently most Americans, and nearly 60% of your fellow Louisvillians, believe that we are headed in the wrong direction as a country, and Congressional approval ratings continue to trend at historic lows.  I know that if you or I had a poor performance evaluation we’d no longer have a job, so let’s hold the our Congressman accountable and send a message to Washington that we expect more from our representatives!

This past quarter brought with it our best fundraising and volunteer efforts to date.  We raised just under $300,000 and recruited over 300 volunteers that knocked on doors, attend parades and carried our message throughout the district.  Thank you all for your support, however we still need money get our message out.  Please consider contributing $50 to $100 to my campaign and register to volunteer with us.  Each gift and every hour you give is important to ensuring that we take our country back from the liberal leadership that is killing jobs and hurting our economy.

Finally, I recently traveled to Washington, D.C.  to meet with members of the National Republican Congressional Committee and other party leaders.  The reception to our campaign was amazing and very motivating.  These meetings are key in gaining national support and demonstrate the unity of our message across the Country.  As I told the Republican Conference, in November, ours are some of the first election results finalized. The wave that will reshape America’s political landscape this year will begin here in Kentucky, and that’s why your help in this race is all the more critical, to be sure that the wave we create here reaches every corner of our great Nation.

So I am asking again that you please make a donation of $50 to $100 and sign-up to volunteer for our campaign.  We need your support to fire the man who wants the government to run our health care industry, who wants to cap and tax all energy consumption and who wants to continue spending money we don’t have, to create more dependency on government we don’t need.  Our message is clear:

• Curb government spending and attack the national debt
• Bring honor, transparency, and accountability to Washington
