As we near the end of April we can hold our heads high. This campaign has grown steadily and has garnered the respect of this great city. We are entering the home-stretch for the primary, and there is more to do than ever. We are calling voters and walking neighborhoods in these coming weeks, and we would love to have you there with us. We have steadily spread the word about this campaign on the broadest scale this month with mailings to more than 40,000 citizens of the district and a television campaign (see it here) that continues to reach thousands of voters.

These recent weeks have brought with them a wealth of opportunities to speak to the voters of Kentucky’s 3rd district. I participated in two debates (you can watch the first online here), spoke out for the American taxpayer at the tax day tea party rally, and provided my commentary on radio for our world-renowned Thunder over Louisville celebration. This, in addition to the many of you with whom I’ve spoken over coffee or at other gatherings. These are the opportunities I cherish, to hear your voices and learn from them what the people of this district are seeking in a representative.

My ability to provide that representation has led this month to two endorsements of which I am very proud: state Senator Dan Seum, and KY Right to Life (joint). I look forward to the opportunity to live up to the expectations implicit in those endorsements.

The hard work of this campaign and all its supporters has helped us to raise more than $100,000 in this struggle to take back our critical seat in the House of Representatives from its arrogant and irresponsible incumbent. I hope many more will step up and join this fight as we hone in on our chosen candidate this May 18th, and race with confidence in our leadership, and humility before the citizenry, to our day of restoration this November 2nd.
